Optoma, a leading international projector and audio brand, is proud to announce its partnership with DARBEE Visual Presence, the image processing solution for image enhancement. HD28DSE, the first projector with DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement technology, boasts 3000 lumens and brilliant colours allowing the powerful enhancement be seen in full high definition.
Optoma’s Head of Product Marketing, Justin Halls said, “Optoma strives to provide the best home entertainment experience, which has been proven by our continuously leading position as the #1 1080p projector brand in UK for the last five years*, and is now further strengthened by our collaboration and exclusive partnership with DARBEEVision.”
The integrated DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement technology utilises neuro-biologic algorithms to enhance detail and depth in skin tones, textures, and reflective surfaces while noise filtering produces amazing image clarity. The end result is video games, Blu-ray movies and HDTV programming that is simply mind-blowing and larger-than-life.
Larry Pace, President, of DARBEEVision Inc. said, “Through extensive collaboration, we are pleased to have our proprietary DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement technology incorporated into Optoma’s premium home cinema projector- HD28DSE. DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement technology is important, because it can correct the flatness and loss of realism of every image ever taken. DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement technology uses computation to process images in the same way the brain does, resulting in revolutionary and never-before-seen levels of depth, clarity, object separation, and realism for an immersive and lifelike viewing experience.”
Pace added, “We chose Optoma as our exclusive projector partner because we recognise that Optoma’s goal of advancing excellent image quality aligns perfectly with DARBEEVision’s mission. With Optoma’s expertise in integrating ground-breaking image enhancement features into projectors, and its reach in the HD market, we are excited that DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement technology will be seen and appreciated by even more people worldwide.”
The HD28DSE is a high definition 1080p DLP projector with 3000 lumens, 30,000:1 contrast ratio and weighs in at just 2.58kg. The HD28DSE is an ideal video projector for movie watching and gaming in the home or on the road.
Two HDMI inputs allow the HD28DSE to easily connect to laptops, Blu-ray DVD players, gaming consoles and digital set top boxes. MHL connectivity makes it easy to wirelessly share content from MHL devices such as the Optoma HDCast Pro, Roku's streaming stick, tablets and smartphones to connect directly to the projector to playback music and video, view pictures and even share webpages and other user generated digital media content.
Halls added, “HD28DSE is a step-up from our base home entertainment range with more powerful image performance with brilliant colour and vivid visual presentation. With native support for MHL, it also adds more connectivity options for consumers who now have media content everywhere: in the cloud, from the gaming console, or from PC and tablet.”
Many external audio/video devices today require USB power or external AC power to function properly. To satisfy this requirement, the HD28DSE includes a powered USB output that is great for powering devices such as Google’s Chromecast and Amazon’s FireTV media dongles, or any media device that requires USB power or AC power.
Many projectors require a new lamp every 4000-5000 hours. The HD28DSE however, has a lamp life of up to 8,000 hours when the lamp mode is set to dynamic. This means if used to watch a typical movie every day the lamp would last for over 10 years.
The built-in 10 watt speaker provides the level of audio that will fill a living space. An audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems. For a powerful audio experience that matches the detailed, large image, Optoma’s NuForce AVP18 processor can also be connected.
The HD28DSE is 3D ready for an even more immersive gaming or movie experience. 3D content can be displayed from almost any 3D source including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and the latest generation gaming consoles. 3D glasses are sold separately.
