Optoma’s special effects lens brings moving images to life

Museums, galleries and tourism venues will now have even greater flexibility for their video and moving footage exhibitions with the launch of a new special effects lens for Optoma’s top-of-the-range ProScene projectors.

The short throw, off-axis lens which has lens shift capabilities, is designed for when exhibitions have space constraints or need rear projection.

The ProScene projectors EX855 & EW865 have previously had just three lens options - short throw, standard throw and long throw.  Now, thanks to the new special effects short throw lens (BX-CTSFX), venues have greater installation flexibility to showvideo and moving images, ambience and patterns.  The lens, launched by award-winning projector specialists, Optoma, as part of its ProScene range, also has superior performance mapping and blending large areas.

Justin Halls, Head of Product Management at Optoma, commented: “The lenses provide even better performance to our ProScene projectors when viewing video and moving images.  They are designed exclusively for demanding professional applications that need bright crystal clear images with ultimate reliability when used 24/7”.
