Optoma has expanded its range of ProScene projectors, designed for the professional installation market with the launch of the high specification X605. Equipped with XGA resolution, the X605 produces 6000 ANSI lumens of brightness.
Features include a centre-lens design, full lens shift and three interchangeable lens options including an off-axis short throw lens, being unique in that lens shift is still operational with this lens type. This completes an impressive line-up of second generation models on this platform including XGA (X605), WXGA (W505), 1080p (EH503) and WUXGA (EH505/EH505-B) options ranging between 5000 and 6000 lumens.
Image Quality
Superb image quality is at the heart of every ProScene product design. The 1080p and WUXGA (1920 x 1200) incarnations offer reliable un-scaled Full HD video. The reflective nature of DLP® micro-mirror technology incorporated in this single lamp design provides efficient, bright images up to 6000 Lumens with high contrast, whilst maintaining precise colour accuracy and natural, real-world colour reproduction. The proven reliability of DLP® technology makes it the obvious choice for demanding professional applications.
Installation Flexibility
Optoma offers three optional lenses which can be attached and detached with one-touch ease; a standard lens, a fixed zoom short-throw lens and a long throw lens making it straightforward to adapt your projector to the installation site. The chassis design incorporates extensive vertical (up to +60% -20%) and horizontal (+/-10%) lens shift to ensure maximum flexibility; the full range of which can be used with all 3 lens options. The wired remote functionality allows all aspects of the projector to be individually controlled without requiring line-of-sight to the projector. Specifically tailored to suit the simulation market, the WUXGA EH505 is also available in matte black to minimise unwanted distractions in multi-projector training installations.
Ultimate Control
Once installed, each model in the range can be monitored over LAN and can also provide the user with email message alerts in case an error occurs, a lamp fails or needs to be replaced, using Crestron Roomview™. The web browser interface and full support for Telnet, Extron’s IP Link, AMX dynamic device discovery and PJ-Link protocols, allow almost all functions to be controlled remotely across a network.
Reliability
ProScene projectors require very little maintenance; have no user serviceable parts inside and no filters that require regular cleaning or replacement. The result is low cost, predictable service cycles, enabling planned down-time to be minimised.
Advanced Features
Full 3D support (via HDMI 1.4) for various devices such as PC, Blu-ray 3D™, Sony® PS3, Microsoft® Xbox 360 or 3D TV broadcast system complete an already impressive array of features.
The ProScene X605 projector is available now from selected Pro AV dealers.
